Distribution Inside Sales (Carrollton, TX) Job Description

As a result of our continued growth objective, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled intermediate level Distribution inside Sales Representative to support our distribution sales team and their customers in any aspect of the business to facilitate sales. The ideal candidate will assist in building strong relationships with distributors and be able to help identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s products and achieve mutual satisfaction. The goal is to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor sales (POS) numbers and create reports for sales team review

  • Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information via email and phone.

  • Understand the offering product and keep up with product and service information and updates

  • Provide official quotations to customers 5. Create and maintain a POS database of current and potential customers.

  • Research and qualify new leads.

  • Communicate with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads via phone and e-mail.

  • Find/process cross parts

  • Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.

  • Process Ship and debits ( Prepare documentation for Disty sales team review)

  • Explain and demonstrate features of products and services.

  • Process requests for samples and follow ups

  • Projects and tasks that are assigned with distribution focus in the area of sales & marketing

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills

  • College Degree in related field - preferred
  • Some Inside Sales experience – is a plus
  • Detail-oriented - involves a lot of numbers with Excel.
  • Experience/understanding of Opto-electronic components is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written (email etiquette) communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are important.
  • Familiarity with negotiation, upselling and other sales tactics
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Ability to work cross function in the organization with a team effort
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • System proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986

Work Hours and Benefits

This is a full-time (hourly, Non-exempt) position, Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Lunch break is 1 hour daily.
